This week students were using their observation skills to find patterns out on the playground. It's amazing the places they found patterns! During our Unit of Inquiry time, students were analysing images and trying to determine their meanings. They then had to match meanings to the images. Students are open-minded to the idea that our ideas about images might be different from someone else's. And more pattern work! Students inquired into shrinking and growing patterns using connecting cubes. They had to create their own shrinking and growing patterns with the connecting cubes and did you know, the same types of patterns can be made with numbers! Students had to create their own patterns and see if others could figure it out! Lots of problem solving going on! And finally, with the solar eclipse this week, students were very interested in watching the change in the light of the morning and the view of the sun during the live feed!
