Dear Parents,
Keep your eyes peeled for an email from Mr. Nathan regarding ECA sign-up on Monday, 22nd August. Students have been informed of all ECA choices this semester.
Have a great weekend.
Welcome Letter
Dear Parents,
A warm welcome to Grade 2! I hope that you had a wonderful summer and that you and your children are looking forward to the exciting year ahead. This is just a quick email to introduce myself as your child's teacher and to give you some information which will be of use to you over the next few days.
Daily routine
The start of the school day is 7.55am. There will be a teacher supervising on the playground from 7.30am if you are arriving before the start of school bell. The end of the school day is 2.25pm and students will be taken to either their bus queue, PPU room or ECA group.
Lunch
Children can bring lunch from home or order school lunch. Our catering provider (SATS) will be implementing an online ordering system from 10th August, where you can choose and pay for meals online. You can collect a card from the canteen which will be used to collect the lunches each day. Once you have received your card and made your first orders, please keep your login and password details safe and return the card to school so that we can tap it every time your child has a meal. Lunches for Grade 2 are brought to the classroom. Please remember that all students must bring a lunch from home for the first 3 days of school (Wednesday 10th, Thursday 11th and Friday 12th).
Please ensure that your child has a water bottle and healthy snack every day.
We are a "NO NUTS" classroom due to severe nut allergies, so please ensure that any food that is brought to school does not contain nut products.
Communication
Each week I will email you about things to remember for the upcoming week. Our class blog will be updated weekly and will include examples of work and photos to share your child's learning from that week. The blog will also have a copy of the timetable and the home learning suggestions will be posted there each week. The blog can be found here - http://issg2-2.weebly.com/
Good communication between teachers and parents helps to support children through their learning journey, so please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or wish to meet with me to talk about your child.
Further information will be provided at the Meet the Teacher evening on Wednesday 24th August. For now though, please enjoy the first week back to school. I am really looking forward to meet my new class and for the learning that will take place this year.
Thank you,
Tammy
