We were lucky share in the learning of the Grade 8 students this week. We went to an exhibit on the progression of magnets and electricity over time. It was a great connection to our unit, connecting to our thinking about how things change over time. We continued our work on learning about the past by studying artefacts. We researched Pompeii by by using different sources, looking at some photos from Ms Luttrell's trip. We also went on a trip to Fort Canning Park, where we walked along the Ancient History Trail. We saw many pieces of Singapore's history along the way! Many students found the tomb of a Sultan and the archaeological dig site the most interesting parts of the trek! In math, we have been exploring multiplication by using arrays, groupings and repeated addition. We played some games to solidify the concept.
