During this hands-on science investigation, we mixed various liquid ingredients to make SLIME. We discovered that physical changes in matter occur even without the use of heat. We then described the final product as a "semi-solid" because it had characteristics of solids and liquids. Exploring our line of inquiry: The Water CycleDuring our water cycle experiment we practiced our observation and inquiry skills. We placed warm water into a bowl and enclosed it with clear plastic wrap. We then placed an ice cube on top of the wrap to simulate the water cycle. During our investigation, we observed evaporation, condensation and precipitation in action! We made connections in real life as we discussed how water vapours can appear on your glasses as you're walking in hot and humid environments like Singapore. Investigations in Mathematics! |
