Thursday and Friday we spent time at the Singapore Conference Hall practicing for our Winter Concert. We had an amazing rehearsal! We worked on creating informational books about sports. We added text features such as glossaries, captions and labels on drawings. This week we learned how to do some coding with Mr. Gallagher! This week we spent some time making discoveries about how many weeks are in the year by using our group decision making and organisation skills. We also had to create the December calendar and determine what day would be the last of the month!

We were so lucky to be able to use Google Expedition glasses! "I was in a cage with a shark! It was fun!" - Li. "I saw that I was floating on the sea, and I was scared." - Daniel. "I saw a shark. And a white balloon in the space. I liked it." - Ayumi "I saw a shark cage. I saw the moon and Earth. I also saw dolphins." - Allegra We continued our work learning about text features in non-fiction books. We were noticing them in books while reading, and using them in our writing. We were so excited that our Culture Exchange Box arrive from Mrs. Everette and her grade 3 class in Daphne, Alabama! Inside we found some things about American Thanksgiving!
